Evening rain swells the spring current. Raindrops stipple the stream as the water begins to hurry.

野渡无人舟自横。渡口静悄悄的，一只空船被缆绳牵着，在水面上轻轻转了个方向。

At the empty ferry, a small boat rests sideways on the water. Held by its rope, the empty boat turns gently across the stream.

先是小草静静长，黄鹂悄悄唱；后来春雨落下，溪水和小船都动了起来。一静一动，都是春天。

Grass grows quietly and orioles sing above; then rain falls, and stream and boat begin to move. Stillness and motion both belong to spring.

没有人的渡口并不空。那里有草、有鸟鸣、有雨，也有一只自己摇晃的小舟，陪着溪水度过傍晚。

The empty ferry is not truly empty. Grass, birdsong, rain, and a rocking boat keep the stream company through evening.
